Background
My path into software
I've been interested in computers and technology since I was a kid. I grew up on the internet and have always been fascinated by how it works. I started programming in middle school using HTML and CSS and have been hooked ever since.
My passion for computers and technology grew as I got older and I started to learn more about how they work. I started to learn more about programming and how to solve problems using code.
I went to Texas A&M University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. During my time at Texas A&M, I learned a lot about programming and how to create my own websites and applications.
During my time at Texas A&M, I also worked as a teacher's assistant for CSCE 120, a course that teaches students the basics of computer science using C++. I loved helping students learn and feel empowered to use code to solve problems.
Throughout the years, I've worked for various companies, like ERCOT and Paycom, and working on teams with other students and developers. I've valued working collaboratively and learned how to communicate effectively with others to achieve common goals.

During the summer of 2024, I worked as a test automation intern at ERCOT, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. I was in the Test Automation team, an internal team focused on making sure their software was working correctly. I used Selenium and Tricentis Tosca to write and automate the test cases.
Texas A&M University – Teacher's Assistant (CSCE 120)
For five semesters, I worked as a teacher's assistant for CSCE 120, a course that teaches students the basics of computer science using C++. I helped thousands ofstudents understand the material and provided feedback on their assignments.
Texas A&M University – Hullabaloo U Peer Mentor
For a semester my sophomore year, I worked as a peer mentor for Hullabaloo U, a program that helps first-year students adjust to college life. I mentored students and helped them navigate the college experience.

Approach
How I like to work
When working on a team, I love getting to hear other people's ideas and focus on a collaborative solution.
My mindset about development in the workforce is always having an open mind and learning the importance of balance.
Outside of work
A bit beyond the keyboard
Outside the office, I love learning new recipes, especially foods I can cook for others to enjoy! I also like taking long walks and going to the gym from time to time!
I play quite a few video games too! Some recent obsessions have been Tomodachi Life, Minecraft, Super Mario Galaxy, and Megabonk.
My biggest obsession is music! I love going to concerts and listening to all sorts of music! I collect CDs and posters as souvenirs from my experiences, and sometimes I design my own posters! My favorite genres are synthpop, shibuya-kei, video game soundtracks, and digital hardcore!
